Alumni News

Hello, District 2!

First off, I would like to congratulate all of you for being a part of this conference today. For the students who this is their first conference, I hope you enjoy this new experience and that you wish to return to future conferences. For the returning students, I know this is a different setup than you are used to, and we are not able to all be together during this exciting time. However, I know you will all push through despite this bump in the road because you are all champions at work. To all my seniors, I hope to see you as new Alumni next year to continue your involvement with SkillsUSA. Despite this conference being virtual, it is still a great experience and I want you to all keep in mind that every accomplishment you ever receive will all start with the initial decision to try. So try your best and make the best out of this conference. Log on and give it your best shot because no matter the outcome of the conference you all have a lot to be proud of for what you have already accomplished!

Best of Luck,

Ashley Johnson

Alumni District 2 Representative

Hello District 3!

I hope everyone is well and ready for a great conference. For those of you who haven’t participated before I am excited to see you show your skills and succeed! Those who participated last year I know things are set up differently this time around but we are resilient and we can still have an excellent district conference. While we aren’t all together like previous years, I encourage you all to take in as much as you can during the virtual conference! For my seniors, I hope to see you all come back as alumni, so that when we are all able to come back in person we can give you an amazing in person experience and support the members that will come after you!

Good luck with your competitions, reach out to your advisors for support, and take pride in your work!

Best wishes,

Peter Newman, Alumni District 3 Representative

The Alumni & Friends Association is taking time to shed some light and give recognition to alumni members who are making a difference, post high school. This month we would like to shed light on Ricky Jordan!
