
Alumni Scholarship & Tool Award
The SkillsUSA Massachusetts Alumni & Friends Scholarship and Tool Award is supported by the Alumni and Friends Association of SkillsUSA Massachusetts and is awarded to recognize a student member of SkillsUSA Massachusetts who has distinguished themselves academically and through their leadership and commitment to SkillsUSA. The winner(s) will be announced annually and presented at the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Leadership & Skills Conference.
Eligibility:
Applications will be accepted from all active SkillsUSA Massachusetts high school division members maintaining a 3.0 grade point average or higher and continuing their education at an accredited college or post-secondary program, or entering the workforce in their chosen trade. Applicants must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, have established specific education and/or career goals, and have a desire to give back to SkillsUSA after graduation. Additionally, all applicants MUST be signed up as a member of the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Alumni Association.
Application Requirements:
The application below must be completed along with the following required attachments:

One or two letters of recommendation (from any of the following individuals: instructor, SkillsUSA advisor, administrator)

Proof of grade point average (3.0 or higher)

A separate essay (150-300 words) with answers to the following questions:

What is your participation in SkillsUSA and how has it made an impact on you?

What are your post-graduation plans and goals, and how does SkillsUSA play a part in those?

How do you plan to continue your involvement with the SkillsUSA MA Alumni Association after graduation?

All applicants MUST be signed up as a member of the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Alumni Association.
