Alumni Scholarship

The SkillsUSA Massachusetts Alumni & Friends Scholarship is an educational scholarship supported by the Alumni and Friends Association of SkillsUSA Massachusetts and given to recognize a student member of SkillsUSA Massachusetts who has distinguished themselves both academically and through their leadership and commitment to SkillsUSA. The winner(s) will be announced annually and presented at the SkillsUSA Massachusetts State Leadership & Skills Conference.

 

The scholarship committee will award two $500 scholarship at the 2023 State Leadership and Skills Conference.

Eligibility:

​

Applications will be accepted from all active SkillsUSA Massachusetts high school division members maintaining a 3.0 grade point average or higher and continuing their education at an accredited college or post secondary program. Applicants must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, have established specific education and career goals, and have a desire to give back to SkillsUSA after graduation.

How to Apply:

​

The application must be completed along with the following required attachments:

1. Resume

2. Two letters of recommendation (from any of the following individuals: instructor, SkillsUSA Advisor, administrator)

3. Proof of grade point average (3.0 or higher)

4. A separate essay with answers to the following questions:

a. What is your participation in SkillsUSA and how it has made an impact on you?

b. What are your post-secondary plans and goals and how does SkillsUSA play a part in those?

c. How do you plan to “give back” to SkillsUSA after graduation?

 

How to submit your application:

Applications can be submitted electronically below (Recommended) or printed and mailed to the SkillsUSA Massachusetts state office. 

​

Applications being mailed to the state office must be received no later than April 3rd.
